Daryen Ackerman

With a degree in Diesel Technology and years of diesel industry experience, Daryen Ackerman founded DATA Industries to deliver modern educational software for transportation professionals.
As a former diesel instructor, he saw firsthand how outdated tools held students back. Today he leads product strategy, design, and curriculum direction — with DATACDL as the first platform serving commercial driving professionals.
Founder's Letter
I started DATA Industries because too many people in transportation were asked to learn from systems that no longer matched the pace of the industry. Our mission is simple: build practical software that helps people learn with confidence, earn credentials, and succeed in real careers — beginning with DATACDL.
If we can make training clearer and more accessible, more people can move forward in transportation. That is the work we are committed to.

Transportation careers still rely on training methods that often feel outdated, fragmented, or hard to access on the job. DATA Industries was created to close that gap with software people can actually use — starting with CDL preparation through DATACDL.

Over the next 12–18 months we are focused on growing DATACDL on the web, preparing trusted Google Play and iOS releases when ready, and building practical partnerships with schools, instructors, employers, and fleets.
Train & Certify and Career Connect are coming soon as capacity and partnerships allow. Plans may adjust with development progress and market needs.
